About Adam Driver
Adam Driver is an American actor, best known for his roles in the HBO comedy-drama series Girls (2012–17), the Star Wars sequel trilogy (2015–19), and the drama film Marriage Story (2019).
Driver was born in San Diego, California, and moved frequently during his childhood due to his father’s service in the Marine Corps. He began his acting career in 2006 and appeared in several Broadway plays. He made his feature film debut in J. Edgar (2011), and his television debut in the HBO miniseries The Pacific (2010).
In 2011, Driver starred in Lena Dunham’s independent film Tiny Furniture, which was released the following year. He later co-starred in the HBO comedy series Girls, and in 2013, he appeared in the Coen brothers’ Inside Llewyn Davis and starred in the independent drama Hungry Hearts. He subsequently earned critical acclaim for his performance in the feature film Silence (2016).
